My name is Joel and I have been a fan of Pokemon ever since I was a kid. I still remember stepping into my first card shop where I bought the starter deck and a base set booster pack. I had a choice between Blastoise and Charizard, however blue was my favourite colour so naturally I chose Blastoise. I was buzzing when I pulled a shiny Raichu, however I bet you can guess what was in the pack I turned down!

To this day I still have that Raichu and I have been chasing shiny cardboard ever since. That is what lead to Koi Cards being formed. This is a hobby and community I have enjoyed for many years and I now have the opportunity to run a small business within it, something I have put off for too long.
